The Standard Solar Shower Tube is designed to be used with the Jacques Giordano Solar Showers for increased capacity and storage.
NOTE: This unit cannot be used without the Jacques Giordano Solar Shower, or it will void the warranty. For applications using standard shower heads or other pressurized installations, you must use the Pressure Solar Tube.
Just hookup to a water supply, the sun will heat up the water and provide you with free hot water all day long even on cloudy days.
The specially manufactured cylinder is constructed from aluminum, magnesium and polyester, with embedded micro-metallic energy capturing particles, and easily connects to any low, medium, or high pressurized cold water supply.
The Solar Shower Tube can be placed unfastened directly on the ground, or anywhere in a flat position, or mounted on a slanted angle, [i.e. roof, sloped embankment, etc], or installed vertically [wall].
Optimum solar heating performance is achieved by facing the daisy-chained units in southern direction.
To increase capacity:
Multiple solar tubes may be configured into a daisy-chain setup by connecting each of the outlets onto the inlet of the next solar tube.
This configuration makes an excellent addition to the solar shower, working to increase the effectiveness when applications require ability to provide multiple warm showers.
Up to 10 units may easily be connected; however, if the need for hotter water, or larger volumes beyond 20 gallons of hot water is required, consider using the ProgressivTube Solar Heater.
Mounting and Plumbing - Plumbing connection fittings to and from the unit, and in between each daisy-chained unit is not included; mounting fabrication and hardware is not included; these items can be purchased at a local plumbing or hardware store and must be provided by the customer. Each model #382000J includes only one SolTube as shown below.
