Why do I need to sign and return an invoice?

Many merchants choose not to enforce the rule for their convenience; however, this procedure is designed to protect both the customer and the merchant from the fraudulent use of their credit card account.

By signing the invoice you are safeguarding yourself by providing legal proof that you – and no one else - are the cardholder, and have authorized the transaction.

 • Safety. Credit card and identity theft are at an international level of crisis. The Energy SuperMarket accepts credit card purchases and ships products on a worldwide basis. To protect all of our global customers, we adhere to an uncompromising request for a signed release of credit.

By signing the invoice you greatly reduce the risk and liability associated with some one else falsely using your card to purchase large amounts of unauthorized items - and damaging your credit!

 • Savings!!! Many Internet shopping services experience a high rate of product returns. The reason their customers return items range from legitimate to frivolous, but the high costs of restocking items are always passed back to the average customer in the form of higher prices.

In order to offer our customers the lowest possible pricing, plus insure guidelines of fairness that benefit the conscientious shopper, a reasonable and equitable cancellation and return procedure is built into our operational policy.

Many of the items that our customers purchase are large and heavy; handling, shipping, and restocking of a return can be very expensive.

If the reason for the return is legitimate, those expenses are simply the costs of doing business. If the reason stated is that the customer “just changed their mind,” we believe those costs are unfair to pass along to the educated and sensible customer.
